| Nick Hughes, Sternian and General Manager of Merrist Wood, laid on a great day which proved to be very memorable.. All players were greeted with a coffee and bacon roll on arrival which was followed up with a BBQ and prize giving after the Golf. Merrist Wood GC is situated on the LWC side of Guildford and a much more enjoyable course to play compared with previous years. Hole in One seals win for the Sternians Sternian Al Fischer plays a vital role in the Sternians' win by getting a Hole-in-One on the 152yard 8th hole. Tradition has it that after a hole-in-one the golfer buys drinks for his fellow players "Al, Thanks for the drinks much appreciated!" |
