In the Queens birthday honours B682 Colonel Neil Dalton (Summerfield 1982), previously of the Army Air Corps, was awarded an OBE. A328 Pat Griffin (School 1964) has been awarded the Order of Australia for services to tourism and hospitality. History of LWC

A new history of LWC up to the current time called The History of the LWC Foundation & College 1912-2009 was published at the Annual Reunion on June 20th 2009. The Author is Hugh Podger. Hugh is the current Trust Fund Chairman and a past Chairman of the Sternians and College Trustee. For those of a “certain” age you may recall a previous History of the College authored by the then History master Bill Fryer which took the story up to 1968. Hugh was a member of the committee that instigated that History.

The History will be sold at £20 (Hardback) or £15 (paperback). It will be sent by post and there is an additional P & P charge of £3 if sent to a UK address (paperback or hardback), £8 if sent paperback overseas or £10 if sent hardback overseas. You can order and pay on-line here. Alternatively you can send a cheque made out to The Lord Wandsworth Foundation along with your name, address and order details to Gill Kelly, Sternians Office, Lord Wandsworth College, Long Sutton, Hook RG29 1TB

Sternians on the Web

We are in the process of building up a list of personal/fun Web links for Sternians here where we can find them. At the same time, in common with a number of other schools, we are also trying to establish a Business Directory list here identifying 'smallish' companies owned or run by Sternians providing services or products that could be of interest to other Sternians. If you wish to add your details to either list please e-mail Graham Barnes at webmaster@sternians.org.uk
